                                                                                                           GAME BALLS: 2019 FALL

LEHMAN: Paige Jones

-Paige made her debut as a maroon today, and dominated with partner Emma Shniedman, dropping only one game in her doubles match. Paige was also Victorious in her singles, and helped the team secure a 15-0 win over a good Lehman Team

MCNEIL: Emma Shneidman

-In the absence of Ainsley, Rebecca, and Annabel on this day, Emma moved up to play line one doubles with Paige against a duo of Champs, and won a THRILLER, 8-6! Emma dominated in her singles, losing only one game, and led the team to a 10-0 victory over the much improved McNeil Mavericks.

BOWIE: Ainsley Merritt

-In her first match back from a hand injury, Ainsley paired with Brendan Kolerich to dominate and win a critical match, 8-3. Ainsley remarkably was using one hand the whole day, and managed to win her singles by the same scoreline, 8-3 against a really good opponent.

GEORGETOWN: Annabel Merritt & Reba Jackson

Although this match was rained out, they were the only duo to win a set for either teams, and did that against two really good super champ players. Annabel and Reba were up 6-0, 2-0 before the match was called off.

LAKE TRAVIS(1st TIME): Ainsley & Annabel Merritt

-Accounting for 2 of the 3 wins in a 3-10 loss to Lake Travis, Ainsley and Annabel both won their singles against high quality opponents. Ainsley won 8-0, still only using one hand against a super champ(insane) and Annabel avenged a loss in doubles to knock of Stela Sifuentes 8-4.

ANDERSON: Annabel Merritt

-Annabel, stats-wise today was perfect. She and Rebecca dominated in an 8-0 doubles triumph, and cruised to an 8-0 win in singles. She led the team to a convincing 10-1 win that shows AHS is in a prime position to return to the postseason after a one year absence.

ROUND ROCK: Rebecca Jackson

-A big day for Reba, She and Annabel Dispatched a pair of Round Rock Super Champs, 6-1, 6-4, and won her singles as well. She was the only lady maroon besides Ainsley to win both of her matches today. Reba had no problem leading the maroons to an easy 10-2 win.

WESTLAKE: Owen Plunkett and Connor Smillie

-After losing his good friend and state partner in Oliver Johnson, Owen and his new partner Connor are having a lot of success, they were our only win in a 1-10 loss to Westlake(even though we were short handed today). They dominated and earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over good opponents.

DISTRICTS:

ANDERSON: Jett Rosi/Ainsley Merritt & Owen Plunkett/Connor Smillie

-Both Teams got us some much needed points in a hard fought 10-0 win over Anderson. Owen and Connor avenged their only loss on the year by beating a pair of district semi-finalists in a grinder. Anderson did stack their only super champ girl, and put her in mixed, but Ainsley and Jett handled business well, and won in straight sets.

LAKE TRAVIS: Owen Plunkett and Connor Smillie

-The duo was our only win in a 1-10 loss to a tough LT team. After a close 1st set, Owen took charge, and he and Connor blanked LT in the second set, winning 6-4, 6-0.

WESTLAKE: Ainsley Merritt, Reba Jackson/Annabel Merritt & Owen Plunkett/Connor Smillie

-These 5 ironically are all on the All-District Team for 2019, and each contributed a win for us in a really competitive 6-10 loss to Westlake. Owen, Connor, Annabel, and Reba dominated in doubles, dropping a combined total of 7 games. Ainsley blanked her quality singles opponent, 6-0, 6-0, and Annabel won 6-0, 3-0 after retirement. Reba handled her Westlake Foe, winning 6-3, 6-2, and Connor avenged an earlier loss to his Westlake opponent, winning 10-8 in a Super Tiebreaker.

BIDISTRICT:

CLEMENS: Annabel Merritt

-Annabel did not lose a single game today, and led us to dominating 10-1 win to capture the Bi-District title. She and Reba won 0 and 0, and she shell-shocked her singles opponent, taking less than half an hour to dispose of her, 6-0, 6-0 the score.

AREA:

JOHNSON: Holden Davis/Ainsley Merritt, Olivia Tudor/Paige Jones & Emma Shniedman/Ashleigh Greenway

-All 3 doubles teams shined in a 10-1 rout over Johnson. Ainsley and Holden, and Emma and Ashleigh routed their respective opponents, dropping a combined total of 3 games. Paige and Tudor shined in a three set marathon, critically putting the match at 6-1 and all but out of reach. Ainsley and Holden also won their singles, dropping a combined 2 games between them.

REGIONAL QF:

LAKE TRAVIS: Eli Domiguez and Brendan Kolerich

-The duo continued their heroics by stunning a LT team that thought they had the win locked up. They came back from 4-6, 0-3 down to win 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 in the super, and clinched an important 2nd win to keep the maroons in the hunt.
